Sub: Appreciation

We really appreciate to Australian Doctors for Africa the well job they have done to the poor people of Somaliland. They have operated over twenty patients with very short time. It was really time in need where we don't have such specialities and enough equipment to be done such operations.

We hope ADFA to regularly visit to Somaliland to be done more operations and help many disabled people in the region. Hargeisa group Hospital is referral hospital throughout Somaliland regions, puntiland and eastern part of Ethiopia (Zone 5). One patient came from Gaalka'ayo Central regions of Somalia for further medication. He luckily met with ADFA and he has been successfully operated.

According to our experience, we have seen many patients who can't afford to pay at least the dressing and bandages, and other medicine necessary for the operations. Sometimes Doctors send the patient to XRY to assess the problem of the patient and they couldn't afford to pay four USD for the XRY only. We will further discuss what we can do them in the future.

We hope the team will give you the full report about health situation in Somaliland in general and specifically the orthopedic problem. Taakulo Somaliland Community (I.NGo) is ready to cooperate with ADFA and willing to be local partner with them and facilitate, coordinate all humanitarian activities that to be done by ADFA in Somaliland.

Hope to hear from you soon

Regards
