In response to the Ethiopian crisis, Australian Doctors for Africa has sent a sea container of donated medical equipment to Dessie Referral Hospital, a looted and damaged hospital located 400 km north of the capital, Addis Ababa.  Equipment included operating tables, anaesthesia machine, beds, mattresses, wheelchairs, PPE and theatre supplies, which will support the setting up of an operating theatre and refurbishment of wards.

We are celebrating the 60th sea container, and take this opportunity to thank Graeme Wilson for many years of volunteer logistics expert assistance and advice.

Huge thanks to the packing team, Graeme, Carol, Judy and Dawn, and to John, Michael, Chris (for super forklift work) and the AWH team for your incredible support and assistance over many years.

ADFA acknowledges the many equipment donors, including Bentley, Fremantle, Christmas Island and Subiaco Private Hospitals, and Network-IT.
