A sea container full of donated medical equipment sailed recently for Somaliland hospitals and rural mother and child clinics.

Over 400 items were loaded including hospital beds, mattresses, examination tables, birthing beds, incubators, PPE, scrubs, physiotherapy equipment, crutches, wheelchairs for disabled children, and medical supplies.

Thanks a million to our hard working volunteer packers – Graeme, Nick, Paul and Claire – and the team at AWH for forklift assistance and storage support.

Thankful to the many hospitals, RFDS, Axis Health and other private donors for “recycling” not required equipment to Australian Doctors for Africa, and to Wheelchairs for Kids for 32 specially designed wheelchairs for disabled children.   Special thanks to SJOG Mt Lawley for maternity related items and Fremantle Hospital for mattresses and physiotherapy equipment.
