“Amazing team effort to deliver a massive amount of valuable medical equipment to a part of the world facing many challenges”, said CEO, Dr Graham Forward.

Nearly 4000 kg of donated medical equipment was packed into a 40 ft sea container for distribution to medical centres in Somaliland, including a birthing bed, patient trolleys, electronic surgical equipment, diathermy machine, hospital mattresses, wheelchairs for disabled children, ambulance wheelchairs and stretchers, autoclaves, orthopaedic instruments and implants, ventilators, patient monitors, gloves, theatre and anaesthesia machine supplies, and lead gowns.

Huge thanks to the packing team, Graeme, Judy and Dawn, to Chris for excellent forklift work and John, Michael and the AWH team for your incredible support and assistance with storage and container packing.
