After nearly 6 years since her last visit, Judy Thompson, volunteer Midwife/Registered Nurse, returned to Somaliland and provided 12 days of clinical training at Edna Adan University Hospital in Hargeisa.

Judy spent long days at the hospital giving hands-on training and in classroom sessions to medical students and student nurses/midwives, and professional development support to trained doctors, nurses and midwives to encourage safe, holistic care.  Judy also assisted in the theatre with deliveries and daily rounds in the Neonatal ICU.

Judy took a huge amount of donated equipment and some vital equipment purchased with the support of some generous donors.  Thanks to the team at Laborie Medical Technologies Australia for supporting this assignment.

Judy, huge thanks for dedicating your time to our Somaliland programs.
