What a great way to celebrate 20 years of Australian Doctors for Africa!  Over 100 volunteers, staff, donors and supporters gathered to acknowledge and celebrate the many achievements of the last 20 years in improving health care in East African hospitals.

Dr Graham Forward, Founder & CEO, thanked the many volunteers and donors for their support over the years, and reflected on how the organisation was formed, following the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami.

Huge thanks to raffle prize donor, Dr Digby Cullen who was on the first team to Madagascar in 2005 and continues to volunteer and lead our Gastroenterology program.  Thanks also to Ethiopian Airlines for donating the silent auction prize, and to one of the original Board members, Christine Tasker, for drawing the raffle prizes.  Ian Love re-donated the winning raffle prize – a magnum of Cullen wine – which was auctioned off with great interest!

To Jenny and the team at Sea View Golf Club – thank you for the great service and delicious food.

Here’s to another 20 years!
