In collaboration with PhysioNet UK, Australian Doctors for Africa provided a 40 ft sea container of physiotherapy equipment for the trauma centre at Dil Chora Hospital, in Dire Dawa, packed in England by the PhysioNet team.  PhysioNet have dispatched over 170 containers of recycled physiotherapy equipment throughout the world.

The hospital expressed gratitude to ADFA and PhysioNet, “On behalf of the physiotherapy team at the Trauma Center, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for the generous donation. The equipment is already making a significant difference in improving patient care and rehabilitation outcomes.”

A huge thank you to the PhysioNet volunteers for packing the container with 785 pieces of vital equipment, including support rails, therapy stairs, weights, walking aids, wheelchairs, and exercise equipment.   Thanks also to our volunteer logistics expert, Graeme Wilson, for getting the sea container from England to Ethiopia – a first for us!
