Australian Doctors for Africa announces that we have been accredited by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), responsible for managing the Australian Government’s development program.

The application was submitted in July 2024, and involved a rigorous accreditation process, including a 3 day assessment team visit in November 2024.  In order to be considered for accreditation into the program, NGOs are assessed on their policies and organisational structure, governance and risk management, development approaches and management, approaches to partnership and collaboration, communications and financial management. ADFA demonstrated a track record of managing development projects and met thresholds of recognised development expenditure.

DFAT accreditation gives high level recognition of ADFA’s excellent practices and policies.

The Board congratulates and thanks the operational team, especially our previous Programs Administrator, Claire Manera, on this incredible achievement.|
