Dr Graham Forward joined Australian Doctors for Africa Ethiopian consultant Dr Ananya Kassahun to present the ADFA / AOA / ESOT Pre Basic Courses in Addis Ababa, September 2023.

A strong local and international faculty conducted lectures and hands on workshops to 80 Ethiopian Orthopaedic Residents.

This course was first initiated and developed by Dr Michael Wren and Dr Graham Forward at the Black Lion Hospital. That was over 10 years ago when we had only a handful of residents for training.

As Ethiopian Orthopaedics and Traumatology has flourished so has the partnership between AO Alliance, the Ethiopian Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology and Australian Doctors for Africa.
