ADFA was successful in receiving funding from the Australian Government via a Direct Aid Project grant from the Australian Embassy in Ethiopia for the FEMALE ORTHOPAEDIC EMPOWERMENT PROJECT (FOEP) to be implemented in Ethiopia.

FOEP aims to contribute to the creation of a conducive and supportive environment for women to achieve their goals in male dominated medical fields.

FOEP is a mentorship program designed for junior female doctors and medical students, to give guidance and create an empowering environment for them to realize their career development in Orthopaedic surgery.
