Lucile Rasamison
Toliara Administration Officer, Madagascar

Lucile coordinates our Madagascar Clubfoot Program (3 clinics) and supports volunteer medical teams that visit Toliara.

I first met Australian Doctors for Africa in 2006, when I was working as a cashier at Clinique St Luc, a private hospital in Toliara. I spoke a little English and that made it easier for me to liaise with the ADFA medical teams who visited.

Over the following years, I completed my nursing studies and worked as a nurse.

In 2014, ADFA opened a Clubfoot Clinic at the University Hospital in Toliara, and I’d like to thank the CEO for showing his trust in and choosing me to be part of the team as a clubfoot
clinic technician.

In 2020, life offered me yet another opportunity to grow, when I was appointed to the full-time role of ADFA Toliara Administration Officer.

I coordinate arrangements for all the medical teams who come to Toliara. I help them with all their needs and above all I’ll do everything I can to make their visit to Toliara a success and make them want to come back again next year, with a smile.
