Australian Doctors for Africa’s 69th sea container arrived in Hargeisa, Somaliland this month, full of donated medical equipment for Hargeisa Group Hospital, Edna Adan Hospital, MAS Children’s Hospital, Diversity Action Network, Hooyo Clinic and Taakulo Somali Community.

Nearly 250 items, including hospital beds, mattresses, examination tables, birthing bed, ENT microscope, operating table, PPE, scrubs, anaesthetic equipment, crutches, and wheelchairs for disabled children, were greatly appreciated by the hospitals.

“Thank you so much and greetings from Hargeisa. Yes, we have received all the excellent items sent in the container to Hargeisa. All very amazing as usual and very helpful. It is very much appreciated.” Mr Ali Jama Hassan, DAN Managing Director

Huge gratitude to Graeme Wilson, our volunteer logistics expert, who worked for months to get this container to Somaliland, and to our partners, Taakulo Somali Community, for clearance and distribution assistance.

ADFA acknowledges support for its Somaliland programs from the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP).
