After a 3-year hiatus, we are thrilled that medical volunteers are back on the move!    A Gastroenterology team of five, including Dr Digby Cullen, Cath Poole, Jacki Crock, Dr Sherman Picardo and Hib Tadlip, headed off to Madagascar for two weeks to train and equip Malagasy gastroenterology doctors and nurses.

The assignment was a great success with the team visiting six endoscopy units (in 4 cities!) – performing 124 consultations and 86 procedures, and providing training to over 40 medical personnel.

ADFA acknowledges generous support for its Madagascar programs from St John of God Subiaco Hospital, BlackEarth Minerals and Base Toliara.
